1. Make a quick inventory
Gather your latest bill, your business numbers, the number of phones and users, and the features you use today. Note any fax, alarm, elevator, payment, or other equipment that depends on the existing line. Those uses require separate compatibility review.
2. Describe your ideal call flow
Who should answer first? What happens after hours? Where should unanswered calls go? A simple sketch helps us configure a system that fits your day.
3. Review the whole quote
Compare setup, hardware, additional users and numbers, usage, messaging, taxes, fees, support, and cancellation terms. A starting monthly rate is not the whole service order.
4. Check phones and connectivity
We review compatible phone models and internet requirements. Discuss backup power, connectivity, and forwarding options, especially if you need a plan for outages.
5. Coordinate the number transfer
Your account name, address, authorization, and provider details must match the transfer request. Do not cancel your old service before the number has transferred successfully.
6. Test before you settle in
Check incoming and outgoing calls, routing, business hours, voicemail, and registered emergency service locations. Tell your team how to get help and how emergency calling works.
